I'm so honored to share with my community how Just Juice is more than a brand, a company or a bottle on a shelf. To me-it is about the people who are consuming it and how it betters their lives. I have asked some friends whose paths I have crossed on this journey if they would like to share their story and the impact it has had on their lives. I am forever grateful for their openness and willingness they all have to share their story.
It seems fitting to start with my girl Falan. Falan came into my life in 2019. She was just 5 years old at the time and was diagnosed with stage 4 Wilms cancer.
From the Mayo Clinic:
"Wilms' tumor is a rare kidney cancer that primarily affects children. Also known as nephroblastoma, it's the most common cancer of the kidneys in children. Wilms' tumor most often affects children ages 3 to 4 and becomes much less common after age 5.
Wilms' tumor most often occurs in just one kidney, though it can sometimes be found in both kidneys at the same time."
Her mother Fran shared with me: "our family was on a mission to do anything and everything to maintain health during her treatments. People in the community were fantastic in helping in any way. But all we wanted from the community was ways to keep treatments at bay and to live a normal life. Jami came into our world to make special juices for Falan that she learned to enjoy and love." Falan loved her "Pink Unicorn Juice."
I would make her fresh juices weekly. I got to play around with recipes that she would like! I was new to starting my business, but just knew I wanted to help in any way I could. Fran and I crossed paths many years ago in the hospitality industry and I always just loved her, so when I saw perhaps I could help, I reached out. I am so happy to report that at this time, Falan's scans have all come back clear. Their family did so much research and put forth great effort to treat her naturally in a wide variety of ways! Just Juice was a small part of their big journey to healing!
A few other words from Fran:
"If you haven't tried Just Juice yet, you're missing out! Reward your body!" When I asked her if there is anything else she would like to share with our community, she replied: " I would like the community to know that Just Juice helped keep our little princess' immune system high during a 31-week chemotherapy treatment. Jami also customized the juice, so our daughter could feel it was made just for her with her favorite flavors (plus you can add in that turmeric and kale:)."
It was such an honor to be a part of Falan's journey. She and her family will forever hold a special place in my heart!
